Our Philosophy
The Flight Department is a fleet efficiency expert. We help both individuals and companies manage their private air travel to ensure they’re using their assets in the most efficient, cost-effective ways possible.
We believe the most important factor in determining a fleet portfolio is how you fly, not how often you fly. The dynamics of your trip, not your annual flight total, determine your best use of assets. Most of our clients want a guarantee that they will have use of an airplane at a specific price cap. Many jet card and fractional companies sell their programs based on this concept.
We at The Flight Department believe that a small amount of Guaranteed Assets tempered with quality alternatives, such as charter—which we term Value Assets—can deliver the service that our clients require at approximately 30% to 50% savings over the exclusive use of jet cards or fractional programs.
Our program is based on fleet diversification. We mix some fractional or owned airplanes, and some charter airplanes. This helps our clients achieve 30% to 50% savings and allows them to be very selective with charter assets.

The Flight Department USA Inc. does not own or maintain aircraft. We are not a direct or indirect air carrier. All flights, either chartered or jet card programs, are offered by third-party Part 135 licensed air carriers. Consulting for and the scheduling of wholly owned or fractional aircraft are regulated by either Part 135, Part 91K or Part 91. The Flight Department USA Inc. acts in these cases as an outsourced scheduler only. All flights are approved by and flown as a direct result of the approval of the owner or owner's designee. The Flight Department USA Inc. does not in any way have operational authority over any aircraft listed herein.
